Deborah Starr has dreamed of selling real estate since her teenage years. Following a successful career in corporate roles in the FMCG industry, she moved into real estate. Deb offers her passion to help others fulfil their dreams.
Deb bought her first home as a young single professional woman. She loved the experience of searching for and securing her own home. In the ensuing years her career followed a mixed professional path, including working in a ‘not for profit’. While living in Europe, she developed several successful entrepreneurial businesses. In London she completed catering and hospitality qualifications before returning to New Zealand with her husband and four children. Deb attained a Diploma in Hospitality Management, then worked in food service as an Event Manager, and in sales as a Territory Manager in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Deb and her husband settled in Auckland in 2014 choosing a lifestyle house-sitting all over the city which gave insight into the transitory challenges of relocating. Deb career in National Sales and Business Development developed her creative flair and innovation and built her large network of trusted relationships.
As a real estate agent Deb has a significant background in planning, project management, relationship-building and problem solving, all relevant to the process of bringing a home to market and securing a successful outcome. She sees her passion for helping others fulfil their dreams, together with her affinity with those transitioning from one place to another, as a major point of difference. Deb knows the pain points and is quick to identify opportunities and answers when things seem problematical and unsolvable. Tenacious, level-headed, and a strategic negotiator, Deb’s service industry background means her clients can expect she will place their needs as her top priority. Deborah works to ensure each step of the process is executed well and communicated clearly so that her vendors and buyers will achieve their real estate goals.
